  • Remove text from a bus, suggestions on how to approach?

Hi, I have some text on the side of a bus that I’m trying to remove. I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to approach doing it.

I’ve tried making a solid patch that I motioned tracked but the light changes as the bus passes. Not sure another way to go about this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I usually try to make small curves adjustments and keyframe them. It’s usually enough for small brightness changes.

I thought so too but the only problem is that the light that hits the side of the bus changes so that in the beginning of the clip the left side of the patched image will be lighter then later on it will be darker, it’ll completely flip. And I can’t control the image in that sense.

Hi. I downloaded the file but my machine won’t recognise it (???). However my thought would be to make a mask around the text, set it to subtract. Then add a copy of the footage underneath and reposition it (and possibly scale it up?)so that the blank area that is underneath the writing fills the hole. May be worth a try.

But you can control where the lighting effect changes with masks.
