Remove shortcuts from function keys
How do I remove the brightness, dashboard and other shortcut type functions from the F keys? I’d like them to be regular type function keys so I can use them for the shortcuts in the Adobe Production Studio. I have OS 10.4 and the new slim keyboard so they’re a little different.

Open system preferences, Under the keyboard & mouse options check the box that says “Use all F1, F2, etc keys as standard function keys”
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
