I have a shooter that may shoot on hvx-900 at 24p. It records 24p as 60i with pulldown. It will actually be recorded from the SDI port to a file via a kipro type box. In legacy, we could import files that had pull down with log and transfer, but opt to remove pulldown. How do you remove pulldown like legacy did, in FCP X?

I still have legacy installed, but just trying to cut the cord whenever possible.

I was under the impression FCPX just does it automagically when you drop the footage in a 24p timeline? If I remember rightly there were posts that it looked sub-par on the screen but exported properly.

I’m in a PAL country but it seems to handle 24p in a 50i stream from my ATOMOS Ninja ok.

[Bret Williams] “It records 24p as 60i with pulldown.”

If it is a KiPro, it should be able to remove pulldown on record and leave you with 24p material.
