I have several times made the mistake of evolving a menu that started life as a motion menu, and realizing after considerable investment of layers and buttons and navigation that it shouldn’t have any motion in it at all.

Other times, I’ve picked a menu in the Library without realizing it had motion, and only saw the motion after screening the DVD.

Is there some way to remove the motion from a motion menu? Where exactly do you see the motion file in a motion menu?

It’s the Video Background property of the menu. You can clear it by opening the menu in the Menu editor, going to the Properties panel, clicking the Motion sub-panel, and then clear the Video Background field.
