I have an image which I need to remove the jaggy edges from. The jaggy edges aren’t bad enough that I think it has to be redone – I thought there might be a way to just smooth the edges out. I read someones post about using a blur and then moving the levels to sharpen the edges, however, I didn’t have any luck with that.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the psd online so you can see what I am trying to do.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

    hi,
try these settings in Illustrator CS2.
Place the Photoshop picture in Illustrator.

    ADJUSTMENTS

1: select the picture withe selection cursor…
2: choose LIVE TRACE from the menue and in the Tracing options to start out, try these settings:
Mode: Black and White/ treshhold 128/ Blur 1.3 pix

    TRACE SETTINGS

    path fitting: 2 pix
    minimum area: 10 pix
    corner angle: 20

Play around with these setting, experiment, it’s fun…
you can get all those different looks….

    take care,
    Adi
