remove boom pole reflection in shot using final cut studio
I am looking for some help. Kinda new to final cut converting from avid and would like to know if you can
remove an object such as boom pole thats in a shot. Let me explain further: I have a shot facing a barber with client in chair. Behind the barber you can see the boom pole in mirror. Is there any way to get the pole out of the shot using final cut or motion. ( after effects is out of the question don’t have it) -

if it’s a steady shot, it’s easy.
Find a frame that is clean, make a still from that, and use a soft wipe to put it over the rest of the video.
If it’s moving, you’ll have to motion track. That’ll be hell.
Softening the bg (using masks) also might help to make it less noticable.Bouke

You can do this in Motion using either the paint tools to clone from a clean frame, or by duplicating the layer & masking the clean portion over the one with the boom.

There’s a scene in “American History X” where you can see the entire film crew silhouetted in shadow… it seems so blatantly obvious that I wonder if it was even a mistake.
