So, for whatever reason, I’m stuck with this problem. A client recorded a rap music track and some vocal (actor’s voices) tracks on a video clip together. They are not separated.

The problem is that the rap vocals in the background interferes with the actors vocals. I’ve tried vocal enhancer, etc, from RX3 and Audition, but they act on BOTH of the vocals; the rap vocal (from the music) and the actor’s vocal.

Is there a way in Audition to identify only the rap vocals and remove them that anybody knows of? Or, alternately, isolate the actors vocals out and re-record with only the actors vocals (no music or rap vocals), then add only a music track later?

No, I cannot get the original separated vocals. To me, this means manual intervention. Just not sure where to start.

    Any Audition geniuses out there?

    Thanks in advance…
