recently i was helped by someone who uses ozone. they explained to me how i could do it in audition.

Step 1: Sharply drop the unnecessary bass frequency eq range from about 50hz to 20 hz
    (drop by about 20 dB)
Step 2: Lower the bass eq from 20 to 160hz by about 5 dB or less depending on taste
Step 3: Lower the overall volume by 1-1.5 dB
Step 4: I compressed the overall dynamics so certain frequencies wouldn’t go past a
certain volume (which is a bit advanced)

are these in the plugins window and what are they called in audition?

Parametric EQ, Multiband compression, and Amplify.

I should point out that none of the effects I mention do Mid/Side processing, that usually requires manually sending everything to a “master” bus that’s bussed to two additional busses: one with a stereo effect to only have mid, and another to only have sides. Then that’s piped out to the Master out.

Ozone does it in-plugin which is a nice timesaver.
