  Relinking unreferenced clip

  Can an unreferenced master clip be forced to link to a specific Avid media file?

  As an example, if I import a clip, and delete the media files but leave the master clip and unlink it, and I then import the same clip again, and delete the master clip but leave the media files, can I link unreferenced master clip 1 to media file 2.

  Or to put it in a more realistic conquest: if the media tool shows an unreferenced master clip, and some media files which should be linked to that master clip, can I force them to be linked somehow?

  Thanks for any info, as I’m trying to understand the extend of Avid’s media management, and think I’m missing something.
