Bizzare problem…relinking clips deletes aux timecode.

I attempting to reconnect master clips and their associated
multi-clips (based on matching aux TC) from one system to another
    (both FCP6).

The multi clips were created on “system 2” using media copied from
“system 1”, where the material was originally captured (using FCP5).
When the “system 2” project containing the multi clips is brought into
“system 1”, everything looks fine OFF-LINE; master clips, subs,
multiclips all come across with the aux TC.

I am able reconnect the master clips to the original “system 1” files
with no errors. The media is connected, but the aux TC is GONE from
the master clips, making my multi clips completely out of whack, and
    also missing the aux TC.

    any thoughts?

    many thanks.

    Hi
Am I right in thinking that Aux tc in FCP affects the master clips ie it writes itself into the original QT files, therefore your original files won’t contain the Aux tc so it will disappear. If you copied the files from System 2 to system 1 (ie. copy your copies back) then the aux tc should appear. Hopefully.

    Hope that helps…
