  • Relink works, but timeline showing offline

Posted by David Roth weiss on November 4, 2005 at 8:59 pm

As I wrote in the subject header, all of my media has relinked after I inadvertantly left mt external hard drive disconnected. However, the timeline is still loaded with those red warning images that say MEDIA OFFLINE. I can’t seem to get them to go away… What’s cooking???

    TIA,
    DRW

Select all of the clips ON THE TIMELINE and then choose “Reconnect Media”.

Let me get this straight, you have connected all media and it’s reconnected in the timline, but the thumbnails still have media offline on them, right? When you play your timeline, the media is there though, right? Delete your caches in preferences.

Thanks guys, I trashed my prefs and that did the job…

Matte gets a gold star for 1st place — but, he was off target, so he loses one brownie point.

Jeremy gets a silver star for 2nd place — and two brownie points for the correct answer.

    Thank you both,
    DRW

When I was a boy scout I used to love brownies.
