Trying to open a ProRes file causes Resolve Lite to crash. Error says QTDecoder error. And I’m running the 7.7.3 version of QT.I uninstalled 9.1.4 and went back to 9.1.3.

    Hi Bill,

What is the source of the ProRes file? Could you run CaptureLogs.bat (Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\CaptureLogs.bat) immediately after the crash and send it to us at davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com.

    Thanks,
    Anish

I am also seeing this error message on my Full version of Resolve. Can not play back Pro Res 4444 files. Same QT Decoder error. “Error occurred while trying to read frame from clip ‘xxxx’ using QTDecoder.”

We were also getting really poor audio playback via any QT Engine Application when using Desktop Video 9.7.5.

I downgraded back to 9.7.3 and the audio issues went away, but Resolve is still not working at all.

I am about to go back in time with Resolve as well.
