  • Reinstall of Studio 2 makes Compressor disappear; won’t open any FCP projects

I posted a month or so ago about Compressor not working. I could never find a Preferences folder for Compressor in the Library, so I decided to reinstall the entire Studio 2 suite (it wouldn’t allow me to do a custom install of just Compressor). Now, when I try to open Compressor, I get the drop-down menus, but that’s it. No windows or icons. When I go to open a FCP 6 project, it says “File’s format is too new for this version of the application.” Anyone ever seen this before? I seem to have made things worse. Help.
