I am familiar with After Effects region selectors which allow you to select certain words in a text layer and adjust them independently from the other words n the text. I love that feature and use it a lot when in after effects.

Is there anything similar in motion?

I have a sentence of about 6 words and I want 2 of the words to fade in before the rest of the sentence. Usually in AE I would do this with region selectors but how would I achieve this in motion without having to make each word it’s own text layer.

    Thanks!

Sure is – in Motion 3, with the Text tool selected, just drag over the letters you want to adjust. In Motion 4, there’s a brand new Adjust Glyph tool (in the toolbar or right-click on the text) that lets you select and then transform, format, or style individual or multiple glyphs.

But to fade in individual words, you’ll probably want to use the sequence text behavior.
