With pro animator 4.5 if I use a reflective surface I get these flashes from the surface so bad it would trigger an epileptic seizure. I have changed to flat, non reflective surfaces for the time being, but it doesn’t have as much pizaz as a reflective surface. Is there a way to fix that?

    Hi Kevin,

You may be running into this issue from rendering with Multiprocessing in After Effects. Sometimes, texture maps can get lost through the multiprocess rendering. Thus, it ends up flashing because one core has the texture map while the texture map is lost on another core. To fix this, use either a Layer Map, or turn off Multiprocessor.

    Best,
    Edward

Hey perfect Edward! I am using multi core processing, so that must be it. Can’t check it now as I am off to Vegas for the weekend 🙂 But thank you very much for the reply.

    cheers,
    Kevin
