Reel to Reel Movie Projector Effect
I am using Vegas 4 to edit some home movies and for one sequence, I would like to create an effect where it looks like it is being projected from an old reel to reel type movie projector (like they used to use to show in my high school sex ed classes). What I mean is that the picture is slightly jumpy and there is a little bit of a “shutter flicker” effect where you can almost see each frame go by individually. Does that make any sense? Is there an easy way to do this?
Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere. I tried searching but couldn’t come up with very good search terms. If I can get the first part, I may also wat to try adding some grain and “dirt” to the picture to make it a little more realistic, and maybe add some pops and crackles in the audio, so if anyone has guidance for those effects also, I would be very grateful.

Start with the Vegas Film Effects – this can include Dust, flicker, hair, jitter and scratches. To apply more than one, apply the effect a second or third time
