Reducing noise in Audition
Hello,
I was in charge of a shoot recently outdoors. We used a lav mic, but the recording still has a fair amount of extraneous background noise. I’ve edited a rough version of the final audio, which you can listen to here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9gjd2idefr3svdh/cris%20audio%20FULL.mp3.
I’m using Audition, and was wondering what would be the best way to clean up this audio. Of course, the link above is to a compressed mp3; the actual audio sounds a little better than this, but still features a lot of background noise. Thanks for the help!

What you need to do is take a Noise Print – basically sample the noise when no one is speaking – the remove that Noise Print from the audio track:
