Reduce keyframes
Posted by Matthew Beall on October 6, 2016 at 6:40 pmI have some tracking data that produces a keyframe for every frame.
Is there a way to reduce/simplify those keyframes in AE?Roei Tzoref replied 9 years, 10 months ago 2 Members · 3 Replies -

October 6, 2016 at 7:12 pmSmoothing baked keyframes will result in an uneven track. This will
miss the purpose of tracking in the first place. All tracking data is coming as frame by frame information. You should probably specify why you want to reduce the keyframes and users can offer a workaround.Roei Tzoref

October 6, 2016 at 7:55 pmThere is some chatter I would like to smooth out. The tracking works great during larger moves, but when it needs to be nearly still you can notice spikes. I can probably do this manually, but I was hoping for something automatic.
Combustion had great tools for these type of instances. -

October 6, 2016 at 8:00 pmIf it’s tracking chatter and you have made sure it’s the best you can get, you can apply smooth expression to the property. There are other tools for dealing with track chatter: mamoworld has some scripts for averaging trackers. Personally I use mocha in cases where there is chatter and it eliminates it completely.
