  • Reduce household hum? Increase vocal bass?

    Hi guys,

I’m editing a short interview, shot indoors, and im trying to improve the sound.

I’d like to reduce general household hum and increase the bass in the woman’s voice. The interviewed subject is an elderly woman with a deep southern accent and im trying to preserve the unique quality and tone of her voice – so far reducing hum with AUHighpass has lost vocal quality.

I increased the gain on AUFilter to add bass but it didnt work. Im playing around with AUGraphicEQ but not much success yet.

am reading about my options here: https://www.digitalrebellion.com/blog/cats/22/ but probably need more detailed guidance.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

Instead of using the High Pass Filter, try instead, the “Hum Remover” Audio Filter.
Turn on 1st and 2nd harmonic.
