REDONE gives me scary 3k jitters in my 2k project.
I’m new to the red workflow, but I’ve seem to run across my first snag. I’m ingesting red media as instructed by the whitepages to prores 4444 at 2k in a 23.98 rate. Then i came across a slate stating there was a change to 3k @ 50fps, which fcp, as ive read and now discovered does not like at all.
Now from what I’ve gathered from other posts is I should compress with compressor this back to 2k, 2048×1152. Would this in its self solve my dilemma? I’ve tested a couple clips and seems ok, am I in for any surprises when my clients come in?
