  • Redheads and Blondes – any lower wattage bulbs available?

Posted by Harry Bromley-davenport on October 20, 2010 at 11:45 pm

I have 3 Ianabeam 800 watt Redheads and 3 2k Blondes. Does anyone know where I can obtain lower wattage bulbs for these lamps?

I don’t want to have the hassle of under-running them and the consequent color temperature correction.

    Many thanks,

    Harry.

Not sure which country you are in Harry, but according to the Ianiro website, you can purchase all kinds of smaller wattage bulbs for the 800 but not for the 2k version.

The lamp socket is known as R7s 80mm for the 800, R7s 93mm for the 1k version and R7s 140mm for the 2k version. The specs for the smaller wattage lamps are here https://www.ianiro.com/redhead_fibre_ita-asp.php scroll down to the lamp chart.

Any reliable vendor that sells bulbs will have them, https://www.bulbtronics.com , probably https://www.filmtools.com , if you are here in the U.S. etc. If you are in Australia or the UK, I am sure that there are equivalent pro line retailers.
