Updated to yosemite, but apple tech support and red didn’t think that was the issue.
No 3rd party effects being used and the AV output can be switched off or on and the program still crashes

I’ll try and do that tomorrow – I’ve got AppleCare and red looking into it but nothing so far. Noise industries is on there but can come off if it forced a clash. Thanks for your help so far.

I had to dig deep into the Library folder in my OS a few times due to this RED ROCKET install error I was getting.
I wonder if you can that deep to get rid of all RED code and try installing from the start.
For us it was the RED ROCKET install that gave us fits across all the new Mac Pro’s.
Took a few attempts and even had to re-install the OS a few times.
Finally got 6 of em running fine .
