Red Video on TimeLine?
When I import a video straight from Flash UNCOMPRESSED, I get a red video clip on the time line and the preview is black. If I DO try to compress it, it looks weird and REALLY bad quality, it looks optimal when I don’t compress it, though the red timeline problem occurs. I canm play the file just fine. One problem I think it may be is that the video is 30 FPS (700×480), and my project is 29.97 FPS and 720×480. Any help, please? The file is about 780 MB big, and the comprssed ones are like, only 8MB. Help Please.

I don’t believe Vegas can import Flash video. I haven’t been successfull with it anyway.

It can’t import an AVI file that has been rendered from a flash file? I’ve seen it so many times but I’ve never tried until now.

Yes. If you have a converter that can render flash to AVI thats not DVIX or XVID avi, Vegas will work with AVI files.

Well I uninstalled Vegas Pro 9 and installed Vegas pro 8, and the clip works, at first, but later, it wouldn’t play at all. The preview just shows the same image for the whole video. and when i render it, it still doesn’t play. Just the image.

Wow. Vegas doesn’t change on it’s own. If you did nothing, like installed a codec pack between when it played and it didn’t, then you may have virus that’s corrupting files, or some intermittened hardware problem like bad ram. Do you have a clean image backup you can restore to? Also which file palyed back? the avi or flv? I cannot import flv files into pro 9. Also I have never seen any file be compressed to 1/100 of it’s original size. 780 meg to 8 meg???
Where are these flash video coming from?
