Red showing in videos in Premiere, no where else
We have videos that we made and when viewed in any video player like Windows Media Player or REAL, the video plays fine.
However, once the video is imported into Premiere it displays fine for a while and then about 10 seconds into it most of the screen is overtaken in red. This lasts about 1 or 2 seconds and then goes back to the video again. This red flickers on and off every 10 seconds.
Does anybody know why this is happening?

Not sure exactly why that would happen. Many playback issues are a result of using codecs that are not ideal for editing.
I’d check the file’s codecs with SGpot, than compare them to Premiere’s accepted codecs.
I’d also try decompressing the video before import. I use AVS Video Converter.Vince
