  • Red Giant Looks not showing preview on Premiere Pro CC ?

We used to use the Looks on Premiere Pro CS6 since last year and it was the best color grading tool for us.

Now we just got the update for CC and installed.

Looks installed and showing on effects panel. But the main thing is missing!

THE PREVIEW to apply the looks.

Earlier it used to show the preview of video cursor and it was easy to apply from that preview.

But now the preview is missing.

    See this screenshot,

    Am I missing something ?

I have the same problem with some effects of Boris Continuum Complete 8.
I’m going to think that the problem is PP CC, because it worked with CS5.5 and CS6, just like with your case.

Go into Sequence settings and check mark max bit depth and max quality under preview. See if that changes it. If not change the Hardware MPE to Software MPE mode under Project settings. Delete the Preview files when it prompts.

Go into System and then the advanced tab. Select settings under performance. Then for Visual effects make sure it’s set to “let Windows choose what’s best for the computer”. Outside of that the only thing I can think of to try is make sure the Video driver is up to date for 8.1 if that is what you have.

Yup, just noticed that same problem yesterday. Weird.
Did an Adobe update kill the Looks plugin?
