May 30, 2012 at 3:11 pmHi all,
Trying to import XML (Red Epic 5K) Oh so nearly there and then Resolve crashes.
Never had this problem before From XDcamHD, Red1 to Arri. Is it purely the data size
that’s making it crash? Thanks for any help.

May 30, 2012 at 3:13 pmWhere are you bring the XML from? Premier? If so, uncheck the import sizing information box.

May 30, 2012 at 3:25 pmHi
Export ProRes files from Redcine Pro. Edit FCP and export XML. Open in Redcine (5k relink) export
XML for Resolve. Hope that makes sense.Danny.

May 30, 2012 at 3:34 pmYou could probably skip the redcine 5k relink step. Just take in fcp XML in resolve. Uncheck match file extension, and point it to your r3d media. You could also try bringing your media into the media pool before loading the XML.

May 30, 2012 at 4:22 pmYes I usually use an edl and bring in the R3D select takes into the media pool. I’ll do this from a client drive then copy files to local drive.
Then load xml as Juan describes and deselect import media option.
