  RED, Davinci, After Effects, and FCP/Premiere workflow

  What is the best workflow for RED footage to Editorial to Effects to Davinci?

  Is it worth to switch from FCP to Premiere to be able to edit R3D and skip transcodes?
  And also be able to go straight from Premiere to After Effects back to Premiere with out rendering?
  Are there any downsides to using Premiere over FCP?
  I feel like switching to Premiere will save a lot on hard drive space by skipping transcoding and select renders for vis-fx.
