    I’m working on making a nice motion graphic in After effects cs4 and when i exported it as a movie i can see this red cross in the movie which is also on my AE workspace window? why is that?!?!

    it usually means you have used a third-party effect that is unregistered.

    it’s a trial version for 14 days?

    If I do purchase this plug in but need to reinstall my op system on my comp at a later stage will I loose the plug in as they sell you a downloaded version ONLY and not on a DVD?

    yes, once you pay for it and register the plugin, the water mark will go away… usually they just email you a number and instructions on how to register it, but the process varies from company to company.

    if they send you an email, print it out and save it where you will be able to find it later (maybe in the box that ae came in). if you ever need to reinstall the plugin, you’ll most likely need to re-register it again so you’ll need that number again.

    Just to be fair this isn’t always if you have pirated software or expired trials. I had this problem when I was switching from personal to work username on new CC, if your trial is about to expire it will do this as well. I switched to my new account and problem was solved.
