  • Recovering New Blue Serial Key (NOT A PIRATE)

Posted by Charles Gaar on October 6, 2011 at 11:12 pm

I recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 10 and realized that my new blue package I received from the Movie Studio 10 Platinum suite was not included in the lists for Pro 10. I am also not sure whether I lost or (in a moment of pure idiocy) threw it away thinking i would not need the key anymore. Is there anyway I could obtain the key in the system files or in my account (which is also giving me errors saying the emails i used were not activated and attempts to recover a password I had created months ago have failed to arrive.)

    Any help would be appreciated.

Contact them at https://www.newbluefx.com/contact-us.html and explain the situation.
I’m sure they’ll be able to help you.

If you’re using Vegas Pro 10 64-bit, it won’t see the Movie Studio bundle because all Movie Studio versions are only 32-bit.

If you’re looking for a serial number for a bundled package (i.e. the MSP package), you need to contact Sony Customer Service. Sony handles everything related to bundled software including the distribution of serial numbers. The serial number for bundled products is included on a small slip of paper that many people confuse to simply be an ad.

If it’s a purchased product, that’s an entirely different story. In that case, please contact NewBlue here:

Belarc advisor is a legitimate and free tool you can use to view system information, but that assumes you still have the old PC available.

I use it for conducting PC audits.

If you no longer have the system, contact the manufacturer as suggested.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

I still have the system (by that i’m assuming you mean the tower.) That is not the variable. The variable is the editing program

If you install Belarc on the old system that has New Blue installed and run it, I believe you may find the information you are looking for…

Charles, did you read my answer? I told you where to look and what to do. First it all depends on which product you’re talking about. You didn’t say which product so I had to give you a generic answer. BTW, I work with NewBlue so if you contact NewBlue directly you’ll probably talk to me.
