  recording voice over in FCP 4.5

  I am using a PowerBook G4, 1.67 Ghz, 17 in, 2 gig Ram

  Is there a mic input on the laptop that i can just plug a microphone direct in without a soundcard and start recording in FCP or iMovie?
  A relative of mine started editing a very fascinating documentary 7 years ago on iMOVIE and she wants my help to record the voice over but we don’t have an external soundcard with breakout box to plug inputs into. I suspect the PowerBook must have a basic soundcard built-in that should be enough to record just a voice over?
