I have to record some data from a Windows/Linux machine to place side-by-side with HDV footage. Any recommendations for a good program that will do this? I’ve been using https://camtasia.com/ but I can’t get the frame rate/ compressor to match my HDV settings, so I have to re-render the clip whenever I move it.

    Thanks in advance,

Camtasia was my only suggestion. Re-rendering shoudl only be necessary once. Instead of importing the footage directly, use Compressor or QT to export or Save As
