It will present something of a headache in post though- you’ll need to be careful in capturing one mode or the other with the proper capture settings. Mixing them in the same sequence will also be problematic unless you’re going for a certain artistic effect.

October 28, 2005 at 10:04 pmone will have to be rendered to match the sequence. Either the 16:9 to match a 4:3 sequence or vice versa. That would require a lot of extra render time or you could simply render entire tapes at once overnight I suppose. Personally I would never want to mix these formats. If I wanted an aesthetic effect, I’d shoot all 16:9 and then window box shots I wanted to look 4:3.
