Record the scrubbing?
Is there a way to scrub video live and have After Effects to record keyframes of the scrubbing action? I want to scrub a clip “freestyle” to the beat of a song and being able to render it later.

Dave’s right, a VJ software will do much better. But if you want to use AE, you can try using Motion Skectch on a Null and then use those values to control Time Remapping via an Expression.

I’ve seen this done using VJ software outputting to an second CPU via Firewire 800. It’s very cool.
