  • reconnecting the dreaded ” file…

i’m pulling up an FCP 5.0.4 project in FCP 6.0.1 (though this has happened opening projects in 5.0.4 as well), and since i have moved some of the clips to a different drive, i need to reconnect them…but the ONLY one that shows up in the reconnect media menu is the file that is titled “””. that is, the “name” of the clip is simply ” (one set of quotation marks).

as i’ve done before, my only fix for this is to go hit each and every clip in the timeline that needs reconnecting and do it manually. painstaking, and the associated clip in the browser never reconnects at the same time…so if i wanted to really clean up the project, i would have to reconnect each clip twice: once in the browser, and once on the timeline.

    any workarounds here??

    thanks again!
