Reconnecting P2 media
I accidently deleted the quicktimes derived from MXF files. I have re- converted them successfully, but I cannot reconnect media. It recognises the files but will not connect. I read that the newly converted media become FCP files rather than quicktimes, so i have given them an extension of .mov. This does not work either.

I’d have figured they’d just reconnect too… might be a bug in there.
That said, if you haven’t edited much, can you simply reimport the new QT’s and move on?

FCP media files are quicktimes. They just have a different icon, and don’t usually have the .mov extension. Try right clicking on a file & choose “Batch Capture”.
