I am currently working on a documentary series. We are working with the sony xdcam system and are using a codec named calibrated for natively editing the .mp4 material in fcp. We also have some avchd files converted to mov.

We have one editor in the main suite and one 1000 miles away, and the idea is that both of the editors has all the material (about 3,5 tb) and we exchange the fcp file when one editor is finished with a draft. We done this a couple of times and i worked fine.

But now, when we were to send the project file to the other editor, he can only reconnect a small portion of the .mp4 material.
To make things stranger, he can´t add any .mp4 from finder into fcp like we can, but he can still read the small portion of material he was able to connect. Quicktime playing also works well. Any ideas?
