I would appreciate any help on this. I have a project where the CF cards were loaded in my computer from a Sony Z7. For some silly reason, I loaded the tapes months later, not remembering that we shot on card. I then edited my project with the files from tech tapes I loaded. Then the plot thickens when some how some of the media files that were loaded from the tapes were trashed off my computer. Now I have the files from the CF card on my computer only half of the files from the tapes. Do I have to re-load the tapes or can I some how reconnect using the files transferred from the CF cards?

All really dumb mistakes, but possibly an opportunity to learn something new! Any possibilities here?

    Thanks

Batch Capture the tapes. Trying to relink TAPE capture media to CF card will be an impossible task. Different names, reel numbers, duration, IN and OUT points… All bad for trying to relink.

That’s what I figured, just thought there was some magic trick that would lessen my work! 🙂 Thank you!

This…possibly. As long as the reel numbers and timecode match. It works rather well for connecting small clips to one large captured file:

There is a newer version of FCP relink, but not public yet.
(I’m trying to get PP functionality in it as well.)

If the current version fails, contact me to get the latest version.
