My drive got disconnected – all the clips went offline. I do “reconnect media”, the locate and search functions seem to work. I reconnect.

In the viewer, the files appear to be reconnected, they appear. But in the timeline the files sill have the red “offline” slug. I render the timeline, it seems to work. But making a freeze frame from one of the clips now just makes a black frame.

When I export the sequence, it seems to be exporting a previous version, ignoring the edits I’ve made since reconnecting the media.

I’ve tried restarting the computer and the drive, no luck.

Quit FCP and trash the thumbnail cache files in the Final Cut Pro Documents folder of your scratch disk.
