I have a budget of $750, its for use while editing. Any recommendations would be great. Also how important is blue gun only? Thanks

In that price range, you definitley want blue gun only (for accurate calibration) as well as underscan. I have always used and recommended the Sony PVM series.

B&H has the JVC TMH-150CGU for $610. I bought 4 of them last fall for student edit suites (along with a JVC 9″ field monitor) and am quite happy with them. Check it out.

I use an Ikegami tm9 in the field:

it can double as a studio referance monitor.
