Recapture issue on a deadline HELP
Running FCP 6.05 on a MacPro 2-dual core (Tiger 10.latest), 4 gigs RAM, AJA IOHD
I’ve just started recapturing 16 hours of DVCPROHD 59.94 material on a Panasonic HD1400 deck I’ve got for 24 hours, including the 3 hour drive to San Francisco to pick up and return. I won’t be getting much sleep tonight…
Anyway, I recaptured the first reel using the batch capture command in the bin’s media file context menu, then checked my sequence. It’s showing up, but displaying a red render line. I went through all settings, project and sequence, even the media items in the bins. Everything looks normal, but it plays as ‘unrendered’ in the canvas.
The only strange thing I found was on the batch capture dialogue where the capture is launched. In the info summary it read:’
“Using AJA 8-bit digitizer for video input
720p59.94 (1280×720) PALPAL? Has anyone encountered this or can check the codec description if you have an AJA? I don’t know if this is just a text error in the description, but something ain’t right. I can’t call AJA until morning and by then I’ll have lost 13 of my 16 hours.
I guess worst case I can render the entire 2 hour sequence (the edit is locked) but I’d like to have it the way it should be (wouldn’t we all!)
