    Hello,
Thanks to everyone who helped with my previous question.
So now that the video/audio are synced on my project, I need to reconstruct the entire timeline (about 1000 edits.)
Summary: I have a former, edited project w/(bad)camera audio in one project folder, but the clips with good audio synced up in a different project folder.
I’ve read some previous posts but just would like to clarify: what is the fastest way to reconstruct my entire timeline in the folder that has synced audio clips?
    Thank you!!
P.S. I can’t recapture, and I think using timecode may be impossible or too confusing.

By the way, the original project folder with bad audio also refers to a back-up set of footage that was captured differently (into different folder headings) than the new project folder where the audio has been synced.

    Thank you,
    Diane

I’m still a little confused by the summary, but it seems if you can’t recapture, then matching timecode is your only option. It won’t be fun, but sometimes you just gotta suck it up. Just turn on your timecode overlays and get to it.

    Diane,

I can’t tell from your summary… why can’t you simply duplicate your timeline, then use the “Reconnect Media” command to link to the new clips with good audio?

    Is the timecode different?

There may be ways to get around it, depending on your workflow for creating the new synced clips.

If this was covered already in an earlier thread, my apologies.

Thank you…I don’t think I can reconnect because my source footage from the edited timeline is on a back up drive in which the footage was configured into different folders than the main drive, where I am syncing the audio. (The two drives’ footage folders are not exact duplicates.)
