    Hey everyone.

I jumping onto the DLSR bandwagon as we speak. I have great lenses on the way and a rebel t2i. I’m looking at the new Juicelink adaptors but am wondering if it would be better to get an independant secondary flash audio recorder. Then film in two systems like the good old days in film school.

    My questions.

I’m expecting there will be audio drift with a two system set up. Am I right? If so, is there a way to keep them sync or an easy way in post to over come the problem.

Has anyone had issues with the adaptor systems?

In your opinons which is the better way to go?

Thanks again for your time and I can’t wait to start posting 1080p footage.

    Mario

Really depends on what your’re doing

Mic Preamps like the JuicedLink attach to the camera body and are great for run and gun when you want to use better shotguns etc.

A dedicated audio recorder is bonus as it allows the benefits of attaching better mics but also generally better quality audio (higher sample rates and bit depths) file options (wav, aiff, mp3)

We’ve been shooting dual system and haven’t had issues with drift etc

    Thanks Robbie,

With your advice along with others, I have made the choice to buy a TASCAM DR-100 as a secondary sound system. I just received it today and will start with some recording tests.

    Thanks again.
    Mario.
