I am fairly new to Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 and I have a large number of clips on the timeline which I want to rearrange. Is there a quick, simple way to move clips around? I tried clicking on and dragging individual clips and although that seems to work, it creates a dissolve (otherwise known as a fade) between clips which I don’t want. I can see a large X appearing on the clips that have been moved. I didn’t save those changes to the project so the clips are now back in their original order and without the transitions. Since this is a non-linear editing system, I was hoping that rearranging clips would be a straight forward task.

Vegas Pro has Automatic Crossfades option in the Options menu. I guess Movie Studio also has it. Turn it off when you arrange clips.

Ah interesting. How would I turn off this feature? Would it be located in a drop-down menu perhaps?
