  Realtive position of scripted edits

  I have created a script to make automated fades at specific positions.
  The script works fine on the soundfile it was created with but not on any file with different total duration.
  I assume this is scaling relatively to the total duration but I want the fades to appear at the specific times e.g. at exactly 2 minutes no matter how long the total duration of the file is.
  Does anyone know how to fix this?
