Really strange error in Premiere CC?
OK, this is really odd…. Working in Premiere CC on a basic green screen video (using ultra key and the 8-point garbage mat. The video plays back on the timeline dandy (on both the computer monitor as well as an HD monitor via Kona Lhi). However, when I export (either directly from within Premiere or set-up a que for Media Encoder) the “talent layer” is sliced up – see images:
So that’s odd enough… but here’s where it gets really strange. It only appears to do this when using the YouTube 480p widescreen preset. Every other preset seems fine. Never mind, that I’ve used the 480p preset a gazillion times (including about 30 minutes before this episode) with issues.
I don’t show it in the images, but the problem appears to be on the output only. If I were to change to the input screen on encoder (upper left corner), the image is dandy.
What I’ve done so far (in this order) to remedy:
- Save and re-open the project;
- Gone back to a previous “autosaved” version of the project;
- Close & Re-Open Premeire CC
- Restart the computer
- Trashed Premiere CC prefs
- R
e-Set P-Ram on computer
My system: (MacPro 4,1 Quad-Core Xeon, 16G Ram, OS 10.8.4, Nvidia GeForce GTX 680)
My work around to deliver a draft to my client was to use the YouTube 720p preset and resize to match the earlier 480p drafts. So this isn’t keeping me from getting things done – it’s just really strange!
Anybody else see something like this?
thanks,
SteveProduction is fun – but lets not forget: Nobody ever died on the video table!
