  Real-world Hard Drive Lifespan Survey

  BackBlaze recently posted this survey they did of their HDD failure rate compared to the age of their drives. They have over 25,000 HDDs in service in their data center, so they have a good sample size to draw upon. Interesting data for planning for equipment replacements.
