    Hello
I have a client who needs Real Video formatted quicktimes – i have 1920×1080 (16:9) hi res clip out of the avid and i have been able to make mpeg 1 & 2 as well as an h.264 all are 640×360 for web – i used quicktime pro and sorrensen squeeze to do so but now i need to make a Real Video version but i have no idea to do so.

I also have compressor but i dont see real video as an option – what can i use?? I also tried MPEG streamclip and i dont see it in there either.

    help me please!!!!

Real Video is NOT Quicktime. It’s Real Video. I haven’t gotten a request for it in YEARS. Real’s own free encoder is not compatible with 10.4.x or 10.5.x and not compatible with Intel Macs (since there aren’t Intel Macs running 10.3.x)

Episode, with some nifty magic from Telestream, CAN encode to Real even on Intel Macs.
So if the above free exporter doesn’t work I think Episode is the only option I know of on the Mac. There’s really not much interest in Real these days and I’m honestly surprised someone is asking for it.
