  Real time previews

  Hi,

  I am new to AE and am trying to better understand how to work with it.

  The machine I am working on is:

  2 x 2.5 Quad Xeon (8 cores total)
  16 GB Ram
  1 TB C: Drive (mirrored)
  2 TB D: Drive (Raid 10)
  8800GTX Video

  When working with AE, my RAM preview seems to be slow. My footage is AVCHD.

  I’ve heard that it is possible to have real time previews for AE and Premier, though I am wondering how this can be done.

  Can you please shed light on this?
