    Reading avi timecode

    I’m working with several avi files captured on a PC with Premiere Pro 2. My FCP 5.1.4 opens each file with no problem, however it starts each clip at zero timecode instead of reading the time of day code on each clip. Is there a way of reading the timecode without redigitizing each clip from the original source tapes?
