Is there any way I can set FCP so when I park my playhead it will make the outpoint at the beginning of the outgoing frame instead of the end of the frame? In other words, so the out point is aligned exactly where my playhead is?

It is. The outpoint INCLUDES the frame you are looking at. Always has, always will. Every NLE I know of does this…Avid, FCP, Premiere. Making the outpoint BEFORE the currently visible one is a linear editing feature…tape based stuff.

Sorry, what you want isn’t possible. Just gotta get used to it. I for one want this, as I would like to see my last frame.

    Hi Shane,

That’s what I was afraid of. I know you can program it in Avid somehow but looked and looked to see if it was possible in FCP, to no avail. Well, figured it was worth a shot to ask the fine folks here.

    Thanks!
